Identifications are $5 per stone.

What You’ll Get

For each stone submitted, we will:

• Determine whether it is nephrite or jadeite
• Provide a clear and definitive distinction between the two
• Do our best to visually estimate the source country
  • Often we can narrow it down
  • In some cases, you may receive 2–3 likely possibilities
• Identify obvious fakes immediately
• Evaluate high-quality imitations to the best of our ability
  • Some modern fakes are extremely convincing; photos have limits
  • If uncertainty remains, we’ll tell you directly and honestly

Photo Requirements

Clear, well-lit photos are essential.
Poor images lead to poor identification and are not eligible for refund.

Please include:

• Multiple angles
• Close-ups of texture and grain
• Edge and translucency shots
• Backlit photos, if possible

The more photos, the better.
