Appraisals are $20 per stone.
If you haven’t already, we recommend reading our full Identification & Appraisal page before submitting your photos.
What You’ll Receive
For each stone, we will:
- Confirm whether it is nephrite, jadeite, or an imitation
- Provide a suggested retail and wholesale value
- Offer a realistic understanding of how your stone fits into today’s jade market
We evaluate material based on its quality, authenticity, and current market demand so you can make informed decisions about selling or keeping your piece.
Photo Requirements
Clear, well-lit photos are essential.
Blurry or poorly lit images reduce accuracy and are not eligible for refund.
Please include:
- Front, back, and side views
- Close-ups of texture and grain
- Translucency or backlit shots
- Any relevant context (where you acquired it, weight, etc.)
The more photos you provide, the better the appraisal.
How to Submit
Email your photos and details to:
info@TheJadeGuys.com
Please include any information you know about the stone—where it was acquired, approximate weight, and any background you feel is relevant.
Where to Sell Your Jade
For one to a few stones, the simplest options are:
- Facebook Marketplace
- Craigslist
- Local rock shops or jewelers (quickest, but often lower payout)
Reaching full market value usually requires patience, marketing, and the right audience.
If you need quick cash, selling below market value is generally the only practical route.
Please Note — What We Cannot Do
We do not appraise artifacts, antiques, cultural pieces, or carvings for historical or collector value.
We can confirm whether the material is real jade, but not the:
- Dynasty
- Age
- Archaeological significance
- Collector or museum value
All appraisals reflect the value of the stone material itself, as if it were processable rough, not the value of the carving or any historical context.
