Presentation

Cut Face(s)

Mined from the alluvial region of the Uyu River, located in northern Myanmar. Specifically, near the Lonkin Township of Kachin State.

Jadeite is a pyroxene mineral and is composed of sodium and aluminum-rich silicate. Burmese and Myanmar Jadeite is the same thing.

ColorThe most desirable color for Burmese jadeite is an intense, vivid green, often referred to as "Imperial green." However, jadeite can occur in other colors as well, such as white, lavender, yellow, and various shades of green. The translucent to semi-transparent nature of the stone allows for the transmission of light, giving it a vibrant glow.

Historical Significance: Jade has been highly regarded in Myanmar for centuries and has been an integral part of the country's culture and traditions. It is believed to possess qualities such as purity, protection, and good fortune. Jade artifacts, including jewelry, carvings, and ceremonial objects, have been found in ancient archaeological sites in Myanmar, reflecting the significance of jade in their history.

Rarity and Value: Burmese jadeite is considered one of the finest and most sought-after varieties of jade in the world. Its rarity, especially in high-quality grades, contributes to its significant value. Jadeite with intense, evenly distributed green color, good translucency, and absence of impurities or cracks commands the highest prices in the market.
